This post is sponsored by Delta Faucet, but all opinions are my own. Thank you for your support!

Going into the kitchen renovation, I had only one must when it came to a new faucet, it needed to cohesively fit in with the rest of the design. Of course, I wanted it to work properly, but I didn’t know much more they could bring to the table besides those two things.

BOY WAS I WRONG.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Delta Faucet for the renovation, and they sent us what has turned out to be the most high-tech piece of equipment that we not only own, but we use every single day. We opted for the Trask Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O and VoiceIQ Technology in Champagne Bronze. The design is modern and sleek while bringing some old world charm in the Champagne Bronze option. I was blown away by its beauty right out of the box but was super antsy to try the tech out for myself, especially the Touch2O Technology.

With Touch2O Technology, you can simply touch anywhere on the sprout or handle (even with just your wrist or forearm if you have full hands) to activate the flow of water. That allows the faucet to stay clean and helps save water by making it easier to turn the water off between tasks.

Let me tell you, we never turn the faucet on in the traditional way anymore. Even when my hands aren’t full, tapping to activate the faucet is a much easier and quicker way to activate the flow of water, not to mention fun.

The other bit of fun tech that came with our Trask Kitchen Faucet is the VoiceIQ Technology that allows us to connect the faucet to a connected smart home device to use voice commands to turn the faucet off and on, change the water temperature, and better even, command the faucet to dispense a metered amount of water in various quantities. Mind-blowing stuff, people!

I keep saying this since the installation, but I never knew I could love a faucet so much. The amount of mess we avoid with Touch2O Technology cannot be understated! Thank you, Delta Faucet, for making the coolest kitchen faucet on the market.

You can find the Trask Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O and VoiceIQ Technology from Delta Faucet and others like it exclusively at Lowe’s.

gift guide / my wish list

This year I’ve leaned more into building my closet with higher quality pieces that will last for years to come. I was never fully on the fast fashion train, but as I get older, I find myself saving up for nicer pieces, instead of filling my closet with cheap finds that I won’t like in a year’s time.

With that in mind, I put together a gift list I made for myself this year. Almost everything below will be on sale over the next few weeks, so I figured what better time to finally ask for these pieces I’ve been eyeing!

gift guide / home decor

As a serial online window shopper, putting together gift guides (and shopping them) is WAY too much fun for me. This list gathers a few go-to items I shop for when buying for someone that has an appreciation for decor like I do. One of my favorite gifts I ever received was a houseplant planted in a vintage pot. It was unique yet something most people would love!

Most of the items below come in a myriad of colors, sizes, or scents, so you can shop with specific tastes in mind. Who doesn’t love a cozy throw, a vase of pretty flowers, or a few cute cocktail glasses for special occasions?! All items linked below. Happy shopping!

Creating our Dream Kitchen No. 3 / AJ Madison

When we set out to renovate the kitchen, I knew it wouldn’t be worth it if we weren’t able to upgrade the appliances. My number one pet peeve about our old space was the outdated (and quite frankly ugly) old stove we had. It had to go.

I wanted something with modern lines that could look custom, but without breaking the bank. After A LOT of online browsing, I found myself on AJ Madison. They have a wide assortment of appliances available to purchase online, and better yet, I noticed that their prices were the best I could find!

There were a ton of options we were eyeing, but this Samsung electric slide-in model won out, hands down! It is a 30 inch Smart Flex Duo Slide-In Electric Range, and let me tell you, it has some seriously impressive features. It’s not only a beautiful range, but also has Wifi connectivity that allows you to use a smartphone as a remote to control and monitor when the range is in use. My favorite feature? The Dual convection ovens! With the ability to cook multiple dishes at two different temperatures simultaneously, the convenience factor is incredibly high. Yes, I’m already thinking about how handy this will be on Thanksgiving!

I absolutely love that I’m able to use only the top (or bottom) portion when cooking a single or small dish and because the space that requires heat is smaller, the ovens heat up in record time. I have WAY too much fun watching the temperature gauge on the front panel heat up quickly!

Of course, it can also be used as a traditional single door oven too! There are so many options with this model. I honestly cannot imagine our new kitchen without it. It’s official, Slide-In Ranges have my heart.

Thank you, AJ Madison! You’ve changed our cooking game for the better x 1000!

Creating our Dream Kitchen No. 2 / Semihandmade on IKEA Cabinets

You can read more about our kitchen renovation over at SemiStories!

When we were first putting together our renovation ideas for the kitchen, we knew that using IKEA cabinet bases was a must. We wanted an affordable cabinet solution that we could put together ourselves. The multitude of customizable options for the bases themselves made IKEA a no-brainer for us. It also wouldn’t hurt that we could just drive down to IKEA to pick up the bases or have them delivered to our door. The only issue was that I wanted a more custom look, and IKEA didn’t offer cabinet colors that I loved.

I first stumbled upon semihandmade door on IKEA Cabinets last year when saving images of kitchens I loved. If you don’t know, semihandmade makes doors for IKEA cabinets. They offer a whole host of beautiful color and finish options, and in my case, completely inspired the entire kitchen color scheme! We went with the Supermatte Agave Slab. I love how the color shifts throughout the day with hues ranging from green to blue to gray. It’s truly a beautiful shade.

As I mentioned before, we did ALL of the installation work on the kitchen ourselves. The first step after demo-ing the kitchen was putting together the cabinet bases. I did this while David prepped the kitchen (aka cleaned) for the installation.

Once the cabinets were built and placed in the kitchen, I brought in all of the semihandmade doors for IKEA cabinets, and began to install. The instructions for installation were incredibly precise and easy to follow, and honestly only took a few steps to complete.

After the doors went on, we cut the included toe kick and side panels down to size with David’s chop saw. Again, we followed the installation directions exactly as they were described in the IKEA instruction manuals.

The entire process was shockingly do-able for us as novice kitchen renovators. We were able to tag-team the installation, and thanks to David’s basic knowledge of shop tools, the cuts needed were no problem.

I cannot recommend semihandmade doors on IKEA cabinet fronts enough! The finish and color options promise to make your IKEA kitchen look high end and custom.

Here’s a little sneak peek at the new kitchen! First, a view of the original room (BEAUTIFUL, right!? haha)
